Our Social Work Services
At Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Milton, our social workers provide counseling and help with care planning to patients and family members. Our clinical social workers are a key part of BID Milton’s comprehensive care team.
Social workers offer support or referrals for:
- Alcohol or drug use.
- Anxiety, depression and other behavioral health issues.
- Assistance and support connecting you to community resources.
- Emotional support for family members.
- Grief, loss and end-of-life challenges.
- Coping with a new illness or condition.
- Violence, abuse or neglect in personal relationships or the community.

Behavioral Health Services
When a patient experiences an acute behavioral health crisis, we provide care through a partnership with BILH Crisis.
Patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient units receive care from certified clinicians. This includes assessments and referral services.
