Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton Names New Board Members at Annual Meeting

BID Milton Welcomes New Board Members

Milton, MA – At its Annual Meeting of the Boards, Beth Israel Deaconess HospitalMilton named three new members to the hospital’s Board of Trustees: Joanne Jaxtimer, Scott Farrell, and Maggie Wilson. All three reside in Milton. Additionally, the hospital named four new members to the Board of Advisors: Pam Birkenfeld, Cheryl Chandler, Becky Davis, and Josh Pompilus.

“Our new trustees and advisors are accomplished and successful members of our community, and we are grateful to have their support for our hospital,” said Rich Fernandez, president, BID Milton. “The leadership of these new members will help shape our future and improve the care we provide for our communities.”

New Members to the Board of Trustees

Joanne Jaxtimer

Joanne Jaxtimer served as BNY Mellon’s Co-Head of Global Philanthropy. She is also the founder of Joanne Jaxtimer Consulting, a small firm that focuses on providing non-profit organizations with fund development, relationship management and stakeholder engagement services. Joanne is a member of the Governor's Commission on Intellectual Disabilities, the Massachusetts Women's Forum and is active with a variety of community organizations. She was featured in the book “Boston Inspirational Women.” Joanne graduated from Boston College with a BA in Psychology.

Scott Farrell

Scott Farrell sits on the Executive Board of the non-profit Milton Foundation for Education (MFE). He has been part of the MFE for six years. He has also served on the Cunningham Elementary Site Council, the Cunningham Parental Advisory Board, and was Director of Development for the Cunningham Green Space Committee. He is also Vice President of the Milton Chamber of Commerce. Scott runs a real estate firm, Scott Farrell & Partners, and is also Managing Director at Compass real estate in Boston. As an entrepreneur, Scott is a partner in Eva, a Mediterranean restaurant on Newbury Street in Boston, and is a managing partner of Broadway Golf Club in South Boston. He is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal with a bachelor’s degree in political science and government.

Maggie Wilson

Maggie Wilson is the Senior Vice President & Director of Operations for Fox Rock Capital, LLC, a single-family office serving the Hale Family, located in Quincy, MA. Maggie advises the family on alaspects of their wealth management including serving as a Trustee on the family foundation, Fox Rock Foundation. Maggie has served on several community committees including the Development and Expansion Committee for Empower and the Board of Visitors for Fenway Health. She is currently the President of the Milton Woods Homeowners Association and is serving on the Town Farm Review Committee for the Town of Milton. She is a graduate of the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Juris Doctor graduate degree. She is a member of the Florida and Illinois Bar Associations.

New Members to the Board of Advisors

Pam Birkenfeld

Pam Birkenfeld is a retired international lawyer. She was married to the late Ronald Birkenfeld, MD, who was an esteemed neurosurgeon in many institutions, including BID Milton where he finished his career. Pam is well-known at BID Milton having worked as a manager of business practices in Dr. Birkenfeld’s office and in her current role as a volunteer. Pam dedicates her time at the hospital working with the surgical services staff, but she particularly enjoys spending time visiting patients alongside our therapy dogs.

Cheryl Chandler

Cheryl Chandler is a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Cancer Exercise Trainer with more than 30 years of experience in the fitness industry. She is dedicated to helping people transform their lives. Cheryl founded CLC Fitness, a virtual personal training business, in 2021 to provide accessible and convenient fitness solutions for everyone.

Becky Davis

Becky Davis is a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Realty. Prior to real estate, she worked in sales, management and human resources. She is an active member of the Cunningham School Site Council and PTO, our BID Milton Gala Committee, and the Boston Women in Business for Good.

Josh Pompilus

Josh Pompilus is the founder and owner of the Law Offices of Joshua F. Pompilus, PC, a private law firm established in 2003. With locations in Boston and Randolph, as well as Orlando, FL, Josh’s practice is primarily focused on Real Estate, Family & Probate, Personal Injury, Immigration, and Bankruptcy Laws. He has provided legal counsel and litigation to both individual and corporate clients of all sizes.
