As part of its foundational mission to expand access to extraordinary care in the community, Beth Israel Lahey Health today announced plans to bring a broad range of new health care services to the City of Quincy.
With an anticipated opening in the late spring of 2020, the new facility in Quincy will provide primary care, urgent care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services and specialty care in a single location. The new facility builds on Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton’s long-standing commitment and service to communities south of Boston.
“Beth Israel Lahey Health is committed to expanding access to comprehensive care in the community, close to where people live and work,” said Michael Rowan, Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Executive Vice President for Hospital and Ambulatory Services. “In Quincy, we will bring together clinicians with a broad range of specialties to conveniently serve the community in new and better ways.”
Richard Fernandez, President of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Milton, added, “In the coming months, we look forward to continuing to work closely with the City of Quincy and the community to bring our vision to life.”
The new 17,000 square foot space, located at 152 Parkingway in Quincy, will include an urgent care clinic, staffed by board-certified, emergency medicine physicians. Open seven days a week, the clinic will treat adults and children over the age of two with urgent but not life-threatening injuries or illnesses.
The new site in Quincy will also include a new Beth Israel Lahey Primary Care practice, as well as specialty practices staffed by physicians affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
All of these new services will be supported and enhanced by imaging and laboratory services that offer patients convenient access to diagnostic testing.
“We are thrilled to welcome a health care provider with the kind of world-renown reputation as Beth Israel Lahey Health to Quincy Center,” said Quincy Mayor Tom Koch. “This facility is another major step forward in both providing access to first-class health care to our residents and continuing the new vibrancy we’re working to create in the heart of our downtown.”
