Our Weight Loss Providers

Comprehensive weight loss is more successful with a supportive team. Meet the bariatric specialists who will be part of your multidisciplinary care team.

Get Started with Bariatric Surgery

Before starting your bariatric surgery journey, you’ll need to attend an online information or live zoom session. During this session, our bariatric surgeons explain the surgery process, as well as discuss the risks and benefits of surgery.

After the information session, a member of our team will reach out to complete the intake process. The intake process reviews basic medical history and insurance criteria to ensure you qualify to screen for weight loss surgery.

If you qualify, you'll be set up with members of our team to begin the screening process at our evaluation center at either Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton or Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Plymouth.

To learn if your insurance coverage will help pay for bariatric surgery, contact your insurance company directly. Ask if bariatric surgery is a covered benefit and if there are any special requirements to proceed. Also, you should know the deductible, coinsurance and copayment amounts that you’re required to pay.
