Physician Referrals

You’ll need a referral from your primary care provider to see the BID Milton spine specialists. We'll review your case and recommend a plan that may include surgical or non-surgical treatment.

Non-Surgical Care

We prioritize non-surgical treatment to avoid surgery when possible and appropriate. Our team of physical therapists and pain management doctors may help you find back and neck pain relief without the need for surgery.

Surgical Care

If non-surgical treatment does not relieve your pain, surgery may be an option. Our spine care surgical services are led by orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons who can develop a treatment plan that fits your personal needs.

Our surgeons/pain specialists are experts in these surgical procedures:

  • Lumbar decompression
  • Lumbar fusion
  • Anterior and posterior cervical discectomy fusion
  • Laminectomy
  • Microdiscectomy
  • Spinal cord stimulators

For more complex surgical cases, we work with our partners at BIDMC.
