Heart & Vascular Care at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Milton

If you come to the BID Milton Emergency Department (ED) with a heart problem, you’ll have direct, customized access to a variety of advanced treatments. Our team closely collaborates with your primary care physician and other specialty physicians across our network of care — so you can get on the road to improved health quickly.

Non-Invasive Cardiac Tests

We are proud to offer the following non-invasive cardiac testing services in a convenient community hospital setting:

• Four types of stress tests:
  • Nuclear medicine pharmacological (medication-induced) stress test
  • Nuclear medicine treadmill stress test
  • Routine stress test
  • Stress echocardiogram
• Holter test
• Transesophageal echocardiograms

Electrophysiology Testing Services

Electrophysiology (or “EP”) studies the electric activity of the heart. If you have a condition that affects the electrical system of your heart, you may need to undergo EP testing. We offer many types of testing right here at BID Milton. For clinic visits and more specialized EP treatment, we coordinate your care with our partners at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC).

Our heart and vascular care team provides many types of cardiac care right here at BID Milton. However, we actively communicate with cardiovascular specialists at BIDMC to ensure you receive the best care possible for your condition.

If you need more advanced procedures only available at BIDMC, our hospitals will coordinate transport to rapidly and seamlessly deliver you to BIDMC — including a helicopter, if necessary.  BIDMC continues to support and develop cardiac services at BID Milton to ensure the best, most advanced care is available in the Milton area.
